Joe Stefani
President / Founder
A serial entrepreneur, Joe founded Desert Cactus with his partner Josh VanSwol in December 2012 and is responsible for all aspects of the company. At the age of 19, Joe got his first taste of entrepreneurship when he started his first business, a chain of cell phone stores. Over the years he worked at a professional indoor lacrosse team (NLL) as their marketing/PR director and launched a summer collegiate baseball league (as well as two baseball teams) in the Chicago market, which has seen dozens of young athletes drafted by MLB including a first round draft pick. Joe was also elected as one of the youngest library trustees in the State of Illinois and also was elected by his peers to serve as Vice-President of the board. Joe received the Eagle Scout Award at the age of 15.
